Easy Homemade Pizza

If you are looking for a quick and easy homemade pizza recipe, this is it! The best part is there is no yeast.  You’ll see I started out with a cookie sheet, then I decided to move it to a circular pan which worked out much better. Apologies for the cell phone picture of the finished pizza, I was just ready to eat!

What you’ll need:

Dough:

  • 2 1/4 C all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1 C milk

Sauce:

  • 15 ounce tomato sauce
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 450
  2. Prepare your pizza pan with crisco or parchment paper
  3. Mix all dough ingredients together into a ball (dough will be a bit sticky – add a little flour to your hands)
  4. Sprinkle flour onto a roller, roll dough into shape of pizza pan (I like mine thin!)
  5. Prepare your sauce — just mix all the ingredients together — you will have plenty of leftover*
  6. Add your sauce, cheese and toppings to the dough, bake for 20ish minutes or until it’s crispy enough for you

*I bake my crust for about five to eight minutes before I add my sauce. This sauce recipe will make tons of leftover; I cut mine in half and still had extra.

Enjoy!
