If you are looking for a quick and easy homemade pizza recipe, this is it! The best part is there is no yeast. You’ll see I started out with a cookie sheet, then I decided to move it to a circular pan which worked out much better. Apologies for the cell phone picture of the finished pizza, I was just ready to eat!
What you’ll need:
Dough:
- 2 1/4 C all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter (room temperature)
- 1 C milk
Sauce:
- 15 ounce tomato sauce
- 6 ounces tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat oven to 450
- Prepare your pizza pan with crisco or parchment paper
- Mix all dough ingredients together into a ball (dough will be a bit sticky – add a little flour to your hands)
- Sprinkle flour onto a roller, roll dough into shape of pizza pan (I like mine thin!)
- Prepare your sauce — just mix all the ingredients together — you will have plenty of leftover*
- Add your sauce, cheese and toppings to the dough, bake for 20ish minutes or until it’s crispy enough for you
*I bake my crust for about five to eight minutes before I add my sauce. This sauce recipe will make tons of leftover; I cut mine in half and still had extra.
Enjoy!
